Thanks for this! I *love* Cyndi Lauper. Have loved her, oh, forever!
I had a friend who used to be a roadie. I asked him who was the nicest person he ever met (he worked for a lot of famous people). He said he used to escort Cyndi Lauper to and from the stage when she was opening for Tina Turner in '97. (She was pregnant at the time.) He said she was SO nice, approachable, and always very grateful to him for assisting her.
She's definitely one of my idols. :)
